Our nine consciously-designed rooms range from Singles, Kings, Twins and Super Kings, some with extra beds for any small folk you might bring along.

The Albatross is our 4-bed, self-catering apartment and sits directly across the road from the pub. With a large living room, kitchen diner and private terrace, it’s the perfect base for larger gatherings with your favourite people.

At the top of Totnes High Street, opposite the inn, you will find the Albatross, our four bedroom self-catered apartment.

ROOM No. 1 - KING // SHOWER // DOG-FRIENDLY

With a King Bed and En Suite Shower Room, Room No. 1 features plastered pink walls and a reclaimed furniture, a gorgeous ensuite and Rodney Lomas wall lights.

ROOM No. 2 - KING SIZE // SHOWER // DOG FRIENDLY

In the heart of the building, Room No. 2 is one of our cosiest Double rooms. Fitted with a en suite shower room and plenty of hanging space.

ROOM No. 3 - SUPER KING // TWIN // SHOWER

With a Super-King bed, which can be split into a Twin, an En Suite Shower Room, space for an ottoman for a child and a cot, it is one of our largest rooms.

ROOM No. 4 - SUPER KING // TWIN // BATH

Overlooking the Rotherfold Square, with double bay windows bringing in light through both the bedroom and bathroom, Room No. 4 holds a Super-King Bed, which can be split into a Twin, making this a comfortably large Double room.

ROOM No. 5 - SUPER KING // TWIN // BATH

Room No. 5 sits on the corner of the Rotherfold Square, both South and West facing with views heading up the street towards hillside ruins and cows grazing in the fields.

Tucked away in the heart of the building, Room No. 6 is the perfect hideaway for a solo travelling trip to visit Totnes, or for the younger ones to stay separately. Peachy plaster pink walls are paired alongside warm wooden features and a reclaimed fireplace and mantel.

ROOM No. 7 - SUPER KING // TWIN // SHOWER

One of our largest rooms, Room No. 7 offers a Super-King bed and En-Suite Shower room. Exposed plaster walls uncovering original details, olive green panelling and “exposed” wood sit beside bespoke salmon pink ottoman and floral reclaimed curtains.

ROOM No. 8 - SUPER KING // TWIN // SHOWER

Exposed beams sit alongside plaster walls in Room No. 8’s Super-King room. With bespoke light wells in the bathroom and entrance, the beautiful high ceilings make space for features such as a floor to ceiling length vintage linen curtain, bottle green bay window frames, hidden doors and crystal shades.

ROOM No. 9 - KING SIZE // SHOWER

With views glancing over Totnes Castle and rooftop slates tucked behind a lemon velvet curtain, Room No. 9 sits quietly at the top of the building. This Double room is light-filled with a floor length window and peach pink panelling, with space for vintage reclaimed seating, a dresser held in a nook of the room and generous En Suite Shower room.

About our rooms

Our interiors are thought through and environmentally concious, with every decision we made scrutinised or its environmental impact.

We worked with reclaimed furniture, reworked vintage fabrics and collections of antique market finds so that our luxury rooms would celebrate the uniqueness of our beautiful 18th Century inn. Our organic Greenfibres bed linen comes from across the road, the hand crafted mattresses are made in Exeter by Naturalmat using organic Dartmoor wool and our bathroom flooring is made from linseed and hemp. You will find lime plastered walls, handmade local tiles and bespoke Rodney Lomas lamps finished with Pippi and Me porcelain shades.

Our bathrooms have organic towels, awarding-winning Tabitha James Kraan hair products and handcrafted soap.

Please Note

We don’t have TV’s in the rooms, but we have cool little bluetooth & wifi sound systems/radios. We have really good WIFI throughout the building, so you can bring a laptop with you to stream away for cosy movie nights in… 

Check-in is from 3pm

Our rooms normally require a minimum of a 2 night booking and apartment requires a 3 night minimum stay.
